Sydney University back at the IHF Super Globe

Like in 2012, Sydney University will represent Oceania at the IHF Super Globe in Doha, Qatar from 25 to 30 August 2013. The Australian team won both continental play-offs against on home ground against Auckland Region (New Zealand) by 25:20 and 26:21. In 2012, the Australians finished the tournament without a victory.

Regulations for the knock-out stage

In Madrid and Zaragoza the preliminary round will come to an end today (19 January). From then on all matches of the Men’s World Championship in Spain will be played in accordance with the knock-out system – from the eight-finals on 20 and 21 January in Barcelona and Zaragoza and the President’s Cup in Guadalajara on.

Montenegro new European champions after thrilling final against Norway

What a match, what a drama! Montenegro is the fourth nation to become Women’s EHF EURO champion after Norway (5 gold), Denmark (3) and Hungary (1). But they needed 80 minutes of pure fight to secure a 34:31 (12:11, 24:24, 28:28) win and thus to end the Norwegian string of victories including four consecutive titles from 2004 to 2010.
