IHF lecturer Yvon Laurans (France) held an IHF Olympic Solidarity Course in San Jose, Costa Rica, attended by 54 participants (handball coaches, teachers and students). In 39 lessons over ten days, Laurans taught 32 men and 22 women all methods of modern handball coaching. The course included a theoretical and a practical part per day, dealing with subjects like technical, tactical, physical and mental coaching, all forms of defence and attack.
Those twelve participants were handed out an IHF diploma. The other participants received national teacher diploma or a certificate of participation.
