After winning the African Babacar Fall Super Cup two weeks ago – the annual competition between the winners of the African Champions League and Cup Winners’ Cup – Al Ahly from Cairo, Egypt and

Club Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto from Angola won the men’s and women’s 2017 CAHB Africa Clubs Championship for Winners’ Cup Winners in Agadir, Morocco late on Saturday (22 April) night.

 

In the women’s competition, Primeiro between FAP from Cameroon 24:16 (14:8) while in the men’s competition Al Ahly eased past Tunisian side Hammamet 31:22 (15:6) to claim their second title after a disastrous first half from Hammamet who could only score six.

 

The title represented their third CAHB championship in the 2016/17 season after winning the CAHB African Champions League in addition to their two titles in Morocco this month.

 

They will have their chance to test themselves on a global scale at the IHF Super Globe later on this year in Doha, Qatar.
