IHF mourns the death of Dr. Roshan Lal Anand

It is with great sadness that the IHF has learnt of the passing of the former Secretary General of the Asian Handball Federation and former member of Arbitration Commission of the International Handball Federation, Dr. Roshan Lal Anand, at the age of 100.
Dr. Anand dedicated his life to sport, being the President of the Handball Federation of India (HFI) for 25 years, between 1985 and 2010, also being one of the founding members of the HFI. He also was the longest-serving president up to date of the HFI and in 2010, after he decided not to continue in the position, was named president for life of the body, for his lifetime services to HFI and for development of handball.
He was also the Secretary General of the Indian Olympic Association and the Vice-President of the Indian Olympic Association, as well as the Secretary General of the Asian Handball Federation, a position he occupied for 13 years, between 2000 and 2013.
Dr. Anand also served as a member of the Arbitration Commission of International Handball Federation between 2001 and 2005.
