Six junior teams and six youth teams collide in the IHF Trophy Men – Inter-Continental Phase

Six junior teams and six youth teams will take the court in Prishtina, Kosovo, for the IHF Trophy Men – Inter-Continental Phase, between 12 and 16 March, with a place at the 2025 IHF Men’s Junior World Championship and a place at the 2025 IHF Men’s Youth World Championship reserved for the winners in each category.
New Caledonia, Nicaragua, the United States of America and Uzbekistan have teams in both categories, while Kosovo and Nigeria are represented in the junior competition, with Bulgaria and Rwanda taking part in the youth competition, with the matches scheduled between 12 and 16 March in Prishtina.
All of the participating teams have secured their place via the Continental Phase of the IHF Trophy Men in 2024, with some exciting battles ahead for the big titles.
In both the junior and the youth competitions, the preliminary round sees the teams divided into groups of three sides each, with the top two teams in each group progressing to the semi-finals. The winners of the two semi-finals progress to the final, with the last act of the junior competition scheduled for 15:00, local time, on 16 March, while the final of the youth competition takes place at 17:30
In Group A of the junior competition of the IHF Trophy Men – Inter-Continental Phase, USA face Bulgaria and New Caledonia, while in Group B, Rwanda face Nicaragua and Uzbekistan.
In the youth competition, the United States, Nicaragua and Uzbekistan are in Group A, while Kosovo, Nigeria and New Caledonia play in Group B.
The USA are already qualified to both the 2025 IHF Men’s Junior World Championship and for the 2025 IHF Men’s Youth World Championship, having won the title in the respective continental competitions.
